Salaams !

As parents, we strive to provide the best for our children, care for them and guide them towards becoming good humans.

While there are countless resources and experts available in the realm of parenting, we often find that they do not comprehensively address the unique challenges we face as Muslim parents. It's time to acknowledge that Muslim parents are different, and that our concerns extend way beyond the conventional parenting advice.

We have undoubtedly learned valuable lessons from skilled secular parent coaches, such as improving communication, implementing effective consequences, and fostering family cohesion. These lessons are invaluable and have shaped the upbringing of our children. However, we find that they often overlook the profound questions that keep us awake at night, such as:

  1. How can we ensure that our children grow up as not only good humans but also good Muslims, deeply rooted in their faith?
  2. What can we do to keep our children connected to their Islamic values in a world that seems increasingly misaligned with these principles?
  3. How do we help our children stand up to social and peer pressure in a when all forces outside the home are pressuring them to conform?
  4. How do we respond when we discover that our child may be veering off the Islamic path, and how can we guide them through this challenging journey while managing our own fears, concerns and anxieties?
Seeking spiritual guidance on these questions is of course, essential and valuable, but do you find that it can sometimes feel detached from the day-to-day realities that we face as parents on the ground? While the advice is sincere and religiously sound, it doesn't always provide practical solutions for navigating the complexities of modern life and conundrums that we and our children find ourselves in.

These are precisely the questions that resonate with the families I work with, and I am very excited to share that I am working on something which is specifically designed for Muslim parents such as you and me.

Details are still being worked out and if you sign up for the newsletter here, you will be the first to know.

In the meantime, I would love to hear from you.

What are your most significant struggles as Muslim parents? Simply hit reply and let me know.

Please enjoy the long weekend with what promises to be glorious weather inshallah.

Warm regards and duas
